Our school, NEST+m, is NOT AFFILIATED with the NEST ASD Program. The NEST ASD program is an Autism Spectrum Disorder Program that is a collaboration between NYU and the NYC Department of Education.

NEW TO NYC PUBLIC SCHOOLS?

NEST+m is a NYC Public School. If you are new to NYC or in private school, you must contact a Family Welcome Center to find out about enrolling your student in public school. You will need to show proof of residence and a report card from your child's previous school.

  • Set up your MySchools account You will need a sign up code from your child's Guidance Counselor or contact a Family Welcome Center representative.
  • NEST+m is listed in MySchools as "New Explorations Into Science, Technology & Math". Our school code is 01M539.

NEST+m ADMISSIONS BY GRADE

All applications are submitted into families' MySchools accounts. The NYC Department of Education manages the process of matching and placing applicants into programs.

  • Grades K-5 at NEST+m is a Gifted & Talented program. In pre-K, applicants are assessed by their pre-K teacher and families are notified whether students are eligible to apply to G&T programs.
  • In Grades 1-4, the applicant's grades are considered and families will be notified by the child's current school whether the child is eligible to apply to G&T programs. 
  • Our Middle Grades is considered a screened Middle School program which uses grades to admit applicants. We admit applicants into Grade 6. 
  • Our Upper Grades is considered a screened High School program which uses grades and a writing assignment to assess applicants. We admit applicants into Grades 9 and 10.
